Summary Note:
Phil Donahue explores answers to the question: What makes us tick, nature or nurture? Shows that both nature and nurture create the unique individual. Presents evidence that heredity may predispose some to be risk- takers and others to be shy and retiring. Shows similarities in the personalities of identical twins separated at birth. Also presents research showing that education in infancy and early childhood may raise IQ and influence personality. Describes the curriculum at the Better Baby Institute, a school which attempts to create smarter children. Includes interviews wih parents, educators, and experts in child development.
